Kiwanis Supports Clothes For Kids

July 2, 2023
Kiwanis helps clothes for kids

Every year members of Kiwanis Club of Mukilteo collect clothes from the school district as a community service to a local non-profit. Clothes for Kids provides a shopping experience every school year for underserved families in our area. Eligible students and their families may sign up and have an opportunity to shop for school clothes in their store.

This year thirteen school sites in the Mukilteo District donated truckloads of coats, shoes, hats, and other items. A team of Kiwanis volunteers picked up the bags of clothing and transported them to Clothes For Kids in Lynnwood.

While Kiwanis does fundraise each year to provide scholarships to graduating seniors and grant opportunities to small non-profits, a bulk of their annual efforts focus on community service:

Since the beginning of 2024, they have completed a Community Garden Clean-Up, two Speedway Clean-Up Events, worked multiple days every month at the Food Bank, and now this week, partnered with Clothes For Kids. This is Kiwanis Club Mukilteo in action! And it is their privilege to serve!
