Fireworks Ordinance Enforcement Alert
As we approach the July 4th celebrations, the Mukilteo Police Department would like to remind everyone that the use of fireworks is strictly prohibited within city limits.
Why is this important?
- Safety: Fireworks pose a significant fire hazard, and can cause severe injuries, especially with children aged 5-9 years old.
- Noise Disturbance: Negative impact on quality of life for residents. The loud noises from fireworks can disturb neighbors, pets, and those suffering from PTSD.
- Enforcement Measures
Our officers will be actively patrolling neighborhoods to enforce the fireworks ordinance. Violations can result in fines.
