FHCAM’s Saturday Walking Talk: The Pacific War – War in China

Join the Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum on Saturday, February 15th for a 30-min talk with FHCAM docent Ron Risdon who will provide insight into the Second World War in China. Ron’s talk will explore the formation of the American Volunteer Group ” Flying Tigers” and the combat tactics developed by their leader Claire Chennault. Ron will also examine the significance of the Trans-Himalayan supply route, nicknamed “the Hump”, to the allied war effort in China. Finally, Ron will consider the after-math of the war in China and some of the observations made by many of its key players in the wake of conflict.
