A Roadmap to Local Business Recovery – Part 1: Where We Are Today

A Roadmap to Local Business Recovery is a 3 part series that will focus on getting our local community back to business. Part 1 will focus on Where We Are Today, part 2 will focus on Where We Are Going, and the final series will be about Planning For Next Time. The goal for this series is to provide our local business community pertinent information and how it relates to them to help reopen, rehire, and regrow their businesses.

Plan to join us on Tuesday, May 19th from 12:00-1:00 pm for Part 1, Where We Are Today, which will center on laws and regulations impacting business reopening in Washington State. There will also be a Covid-19 compliance update for employers including guidance on re-opening workplaces and will conclude with a discussion on local banking relationships and an update on the SBA’s paycheck protection program.

Ross Gardner is a solo practice attorney with offices in Mukilteo and Edmonds focusing on primarily on Business, Real Estate, and Estate Planning matters. Ross grew up in Mukilteo and currently lives in Edmonds with his wife, Kara, a nurse at the UW Neurosurgery Clinic.

Paul Bertrand Ellis , President and Managing Director of Ellis Wealth Management in Mukilteo, Washington, is an accomplished 25 year financial industry veteran. In addition to various investment and insurance licenses, he holds certification as a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) through Investments & Wealth Institute and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Paul provides a values-based approach focusing on high net worth wealth management. Professional service and open communication make Paul a personal advocate and passionate client portfolio director. Paul is an active member of the Investments & Wealth Institute, and member of the Mukilteo Chamber of Commerce.

Wendee Allen is owner and Employee Benefit Broker of PNW Insurance Solutions based in Mukilteo, Washington. She is responsible for the start-up and management of of PNW insurance, targeting small and mid-size employer groups in Snohomish & King counties. She performs comprehensive account management services such as detailed financial analysis, claims resolution assistance, ACA & ERISA compliance, alternative funding strategies, benchmarking, wellness consulting and communication. Wendee has also served as Vice President of Employee Benefits at Hub International, and as Sales Executive of Employee Benefits at Momentous Insurance Brokerage, as well as owner of Allen & Associates, an insurance brokerage targeting small and mid-size employer groups for health, ancillary and voluntary benefits including comprehensive financial and business planning.

Lorie Lauzon began her career in Retail Banking as an Assistant Branch Manager with Horizon Bank. Lorie joined the Columbia Bank team in 2010, opening the first Snohomish County branch in Everett. Lorie, AVP Branch Manager, has been at the Evergreen Way Columbia Branch for 8 years. Her primary role is Small Business Lending. She prides herself in relationship building while providing both short and long term solutions for financial needs. Columbia Bank is dedicated to the communities it serves and has been a member of the Mukilteo Chamber for close to 10 years. Lorie has been on the board of Mukilteo Chamber of Commerce since 2016 and is involved in a number community service driven initiatives both with the Chamber and with Columbia Bank.
