The Japanese Gulch, is 144 acre urban forest, located in the northeast corner of Mukilteo, WA. It includes miles of trails for biking, hiking, dog walking, and trail running.  The Conservation Area connects the Dog Park and the 76th Street Trailhead.  The Lower Japanese Gulch now features a trail connection to the Mt. Baker Avenue railroad crossing to access the Mukilteo Waterfront.  The lower trail is approximately 1/4 mile and includes some steep grade.

This urban forest is home to wildlife such as the pileated woodpecker, the great blue heron, and the black-tailed deer.
