Celebrate America’s 250th at Lighthouse Park: Mukilteo’s Fourth of July Bash
Mukilteo is rolling out the red, white and blue this Independence Day. The City of Mukilteo and the Mukilteo Chamber of Commerce invite residents and visitors to America’s 250 Celebration at Lighthouse Park on Saturday, July 4, from 3 to 8 p.m.
Part of the nationwide America 250 commemoration, Mukilteo’s celebration brings together all the classic ingredients of a great Fourth of July: family-friendly games, a live patriotic theater play, a pie-eating contest, live music and a beer garden for adults 21 and older. It is a full afternoon and evening of fun set against the waterfront views that make Lighthouse Park one of the best gathering spots in town.
“This event is an opportunity to celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday while bringing neighbors together through fun, tradition and community,” said Tony Trofimczuk, City of Mukilteo Recreation and Cultural Services director. “Whether you’re competing in a balloon toss, cheering on pie-eating contestants, enjoying live music, or simply spending time with family and friends, we invite everyone to join us for this historic milestone.”
Bring lawn chairs and blankets to claim your spot. A large community tent provided by the Kiwanis Club of Mukilteo will offer a shaded gathering space for attendees of all ages.
“Bring your chair, your family and spirit, and join us as we celebrate 250 years of freedom, opportunity and community,” Trofimczuk added. “Make this Fourth of July a day to remember.”
A milestone worth marking
The year 2026 marks 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. The United States Semiquincentennial is a chance to reflect on the nation’s past, honor the contributions of all Americans and look ahead to the future for generations to come. Communities across the country are hosting events to commemorate this historic milestone, and Mukilteo’s is one you won’t want to miss.
