2025 Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival
Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival 2025 Activities
The 2025 Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival is a free, family-friendly event that features food vendors, a beer garden, live music, children’s activities, a parade, and Snohomish County’s largest fireworks display. The festival is held every year in Lighthouse Park, Mukilteo, WA, the weekend after Labor Day.
This year’s Mukfest is September 5- 7. Hours are Friday 4 pm-7 pm, Saturday 11 am-7 pm, and Sunday 11 am–5 pm. (The beer garden is open till 10 pm Friday and Saturday, and the Pancake breakfast Sunday starts at 9:30 am) Join the activities, and if you are from out of town, spend the weekend! (Discount Hotel Options)
Fireworks! (Saturday September 6th, after dusk)
Enjoy the evening culminating in a spectacular fireworks display that can be seen throughout Lighthouse Park, including from the beer garden. The sun sets in Mukilteo at approximately 7 pm, and the show is set to begin once it is dark enough to see, around 8:30 pm. Don’t miss the largest fireworks show in Snohomish County; it really is spectacular.
Drone Show! (Friday September 5th, 8:30pm
If the booms of the fireworks are too much for you, your kids, or your pets, come check out the extraordinary drone show at the festival. Up to 150 lighted drones will create amazing formations in the sky, including objects and characters you will recognize. The best place to watch the show is near the boat launch ramp (which is closed during the festival), and the drone show is visible throughout the park.
Lighthouse History (Gift shop and lighthouse tours open Saturday 12–7 pm, Sunday 12-4)

Visit the historic Mukilteo Light Station, walk the grounds, and tour the 38-foot-tall lighthouse that is still actively working. The Lighthouse and Gift Shop are open during the festival on both Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Look at the historic artifacts and climb the 36 steps up the tower to see the fourth-order Fresnel lens (built in France in 1852) still in action with the light flashing every 5 seconds. From the open lighthouse tower deck, enjoy sweeping views of Possession Sound, see Whidbey, Hat, and Camano Islands, and snowcapped Mt. Baker in the distance on clear days.
Mukilteo Kiwanis Salmon Bake

Now in its 18th year at the Lighthouse Festival, the Kiwanis Club of Mukilteo’s Salmon Bake is not only delicious, but 100% of the funds raised go back to the community. You can enjoy wild-caught salmon, fresh corn on the cob slathered with butter, coleslaw or Caesar salad, mouthwatering garlic bread, and a cold beverage for only $20. The food tastes even better knowing that the proceeds are supporting local students through scholarships to graduating seniors in the Mukilteo School District. Last year, Kiwanis’ all-volunteer members and friends donated over 700 hours of volunteer time and raised $35,000 for 2025 graduating seniors. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Kiwanis Mukilteo or can be purchased at the festival on Friday and Saturday evenings, as long as they are available.
Food Vendors (Open during regular festival hours or until supplies run out.)

There is something about festival foods and food trucks that is irresistible. I don’t know why, but food tastes better when it is eaten in the open air. A host of vendors at the festival offer savory treats and sweets that you can only get away with eating at events like this. Sample the wares from food vendors like Beamae’s Seafood Gumbo, Black Dove Coffee, Caribbean Cuisine, Funnel of Love, Gips BBQ, Julie’s Lumpia Hut, Kiwanis Salmon Bake, Little Jaimie’s Mini Donuts, Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, OMG Gyros, Primal Barbeque, Smokin Dough, Sweet Art Cotton Candy and Ice Cream, Taquira Puebla, The Simply Kettle Company, Truly Mediterranean, Vulpine Espresso, World Of Corn Dogs, Ziegler’s Bratwurst Haus and more.
Veterans & First Responders Dinner (Friday September 5th, 6-8:30 pm)

Honor our service men and women, along with first responders, for a dinner celebration on the lighthouse lawn. Bring your family for an evening of appreciation and community! Please RSVP: info@mukfest.com

The closest public parking is at the Port of Everett-owned lot, which has a limited number of paid parking spaces across the street from Ivar’s, where the old ferry waiting lanes used to be. There are also two free parking options with shuttle buses. Olympic View Middle School, up the hill from the festival, has ADA accessible and standard parking along with shuttle service. Kamiak High School also has public parking with shuttle buses running to the festival. Shuttle service is free, but a $2 donation is suggested.

The Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival is a great place to celebrate. Watch the music, fireworks, and drone show, eat some of your favorite or perhaps forbidden foods, or simply wander the sandy beach and gaze upon the tranquil waters. You never know, maybe the pod of Orcas that came by last year on Saturday, September 7, 2024, will return again this year? Even if they don’t come back this year, you surely will be able to see magnificent views across to Whidbey Island with the ferries crossing back and forth.
As the locals say: What the Muk is Heckilteo? Come to the lighthouse festival, have some fun, make it a weekend, and you will understand what they mean and why Mukilteo is Puget Sound’s hidden gem.
