Mukilteo is home to one of the nicest and most convenient beaches in Puget Sound. Adjacent to the historic Mukilteo Lighthouse, the area features fire pits on the beach, picnic tables and shelters. Public rest rooms make for easy changing, there is play equipment for the kids and a walking path that follows the beach with benches overlooking the sea. Gaze out across the water at Whidbey Island or the Olympic mountains in the distance or just enjoy the sun, sand and sea. An evening stroll along the tide flats reveals interesting sea creatures as the sunset sends its orange glow across the shoreline.
Grab an ice cream cone or visit several restaurants within walking distance of the beach. Stay at the newly remodeled Silver Cloud with in-room fireplaces and hot tubs that overlook the sound, or other easily accessible local hotels up the hill some of which have swimming pools and other amenities.
Mukilteo is an ideal location for a summer beach adventure.
